Nuyorican Poets Cafe‘s programming varies every night of the week, featuring music, literature, theater, hip hop, and more. With all that variety, there are a few staple weekly events that you can always count on (and even participate in!)Open Mic Mondays @ 9PM
You get five minutes to show one piece in any genre you want. Only the first 25 people can sign up. So get down, sign up, and show ‘em what you got! Tickets: $5 at the door.

Friday Night Poetry Slam @ 10PM
Watch professional poets perform and Wednesday night Slam winners spit! Judges of the Friday night slams are 5 randomly chosen members of our audience. (In other words, it could be you!). Tickets: $20 online.
