Artist Alley at Extra Place: Music Machine Art Opening by Sonni

Get ready for some colorful, whimsical art! On Saturday, May 19, 2012 @ 2pm, Fourth Arts Block (FABnyc) will hold the opening reception for Music Machine by Sonni at Artist Alley @ Extra Place. As part of FABnyc’s ArtUp program (Art in Unexpected Place), Music Machine will feature the work of the accomplished artist and graphic designer, Sonni. The exhibit is produce in collaboration with MaNY Project.
The Argentinian-born artist is known for his distinctive creations of bright colors and playful themes. Sonni began his career painting murals in Buenos Aires and has since moved on to other creative roles, namely, working as Senior Art Director for the art company, FriendsWithYou, in 2008. He has also participated in numerous solo and group shows both in the United States and in countries around the world – Argentina, Mexico, Costa Rica, Spain, and Taiwan.
Like his previous shows, Music Machine, is bound to be a welcoming and heart-warming experience for viewers. It will feature a ground mural that will cover the sidewalk of Extra Place with vibrant and colorful imagery. Be sure to attend the opening, as well as the artist reception at Oaxaca Taqueria on Saturday, May 19 at 2pm.
