Allies EP Listening Party x Le Bain (The Standard), March 10

It’s strange to think that in less than a month March will be here, meaning we’ll be closer to springtime -longer hours of daylight and no more newspapers filled with repetitive stories of too much snow. The rooftop at The Standard, known as Le Bain, has been a place that I have sworn off during these cold months. However, I will happily enter the strange elevator to climb 18 stories and overlook New Jersey to listen to Allies’ new EP, Hour of the Wolf on March 10 at 9PM. With DJ Alex English performing, it promises to be a warm night filled with lovely synth-pop electro. The NY Times shares this sentiment, “Allies have found a sound that should- and probably will- melt the coldest of hearts”
I have included a single titled “Oceans” – for your listening pleasure. “Oceans” is a tale of love by the sea that will command you to the dance floor. The percolating synths of “Hour of the Wolf” punctuate the anthemic chorus and propulsive hooks. While the Hudson River is not exactly the sea, the venue for unveiling this masterpiece is appropriate and fitting. If you have nothing else to do on March 10, I invite you to travel crosstown and dance the night away.
